Spend a longer weekend from Indianapolis at our adults-only winery inn in Madison, Ohio: eight rooms, Lake Erie, a restaurant and breakfast.

Our family spent eight years finishing this stone and slate mansion before opening it to guests in 2024. Today, the house brings together our boutique hotel, restaurant and wine bar, with Lake Erie beyond the north windows. Estate Cabernet Franc is grown, pressed and poured on the property; the 2022 vintage received Double Gold at the 2025 Ohio Wine Competition. Read our story.

Make time for the stay

A stay worth planning around

For Indianapolis, make space for three nights if you can. Keep one full day on the estate and use another for nearby wineries or lakeside towns, returning for the evening.

Arrive for an evening at the winery

Check in from 4 p.m. and settle into your room before dinner. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner, and the wine bar serves the full kitchen menu. Start with a glass of wine made in Madison or choose a cocktail, then let the evening stay on the property. Meals and drinks are purchased separately from your room.

A full day on Lake Erie

Breakfast is cooked to order from 8:30 to 10, with the standard menu, coffee and fresh juice included. Spend the day exploring Grand River Valley wineries and nearby towns, or stay for the estate shoreline. In season, the heated pool and shared outdoor hot tub are open to registered, checked-in guests from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., May through November, weather permitting. Ask about arranging a massage when you reserve your stay.

Choose the room for the occasion

Suite 205 has a king bed and a private rooftop patio overlooking Lake Erie. Suite 206 pairs a king bed with a private in-room Jacuzzi. Suite 101 offers a clawfoot tub and steam shower on the first floor, with a two-night minimum in summer only. The queen rooms give you another way to stay by the water. Every room has a private bath; upstairs rooms require stairs because there is no elevator.

Compare the rooms, then plan dinner and explore things to do nearby. For help choosing a room, call (440) 428-1300.
