Grand River Cellars
20 min drive
A winery and full restaurant in the middle of the valley, with a fireplace worth the winter drive.
Grand River Cellars sits on Route 528 in the middle of the Grand River Valley appellation. Unlike most stops on the trail it is a proper restaurant as well as a tasting room, so it works when half your party wants dinner rather than a flight.
The dining room is timber and stone with a large hearth, and there is a covered deck and a garden that gets used hard from May through October. Live music runs most weekends.
This is the one we send people to when the weather turns. A table by the fire in February is a different kind of wine country afternoon.
From the innkeepers
Book a table rather than walking in on a Saturday night: the restaurant fills before the tasting bar does.
