Downtown Geneva
10 min drive
The working town behind the wine country, and home of the Grape Jamboree each September.
Geneva is the town the vineyards belong to: a compact main street of shops, cafés and antique stores that exists for the people who live here rather than for visitors, which is precisely its appeal.
The last weekend of September it becomes something else entirely. The Geneva Grape Jamboree has run since the 1960s and takes over downtown with parades, grape stomping, rides and vendors, celebrating a harvest that accounts for around half of all the grapes grown in Ohio.
Ten minutes from the estate, and the practical stop if you need a pharmacy, a hardware shop or a proper cup of coffee.
From the innkeepers
If you are visiting in late September, check the Jamboree dates before you book. The town is full and the mood is excellent.
